If you go down to the woods today, you’re in for a big surprise!!!
it wouldn’t be a Teddy Bears picnic without sandwiches… and teddies!! Wrens expertly made their own sandwiches, choosing their bread and filling and independently using the tools. Of course enjoying a bite to eat too.

Welcome to our bakery!
Inspired by Nursery Rhyme Week, we perform “five current buns” song and thought it would be great to bake them! Wrens used the different coloured playDOUGH to mix different colours it was great fun and brilliant exercise for little fingers.

Natural art at forest school using the changing leaves

Wrens enjoying the Garden, exploring cause and effect with water and enjoying colour mixing.

UTW what creatures can you spot taking shelter in the flowers, getting energy from the leaves they eat and even their droppings! We will use this discovery to learn about life cycles. Oh and can you see who is camouflaged in the bark?

Water, water, water!
Wrens have experienced a LOT of rain since starting school which got us thinking about what we could do with it! We noticed the mud kitchen utensils filling up with water, some of it “yucky” some of it that looked “clean”. We looked at what filtration looks like and had a go at making our own filtration systems in the Wrens Garden, it was great fun but we got VERY wet!

Wrens looked at the illustrations by Jim Field in our whole school book. We had our own Class Kevin which the wrens practised different line techniques, picking out colours chosen by Jim Field.

The Koala who Could

Maths LO To find a match! Wrens looked for a match in the classroom environment. We know it matches when it is the same.

Movement Time - Wrens practised their listening skills and turn taking in our parachute games.
