Suckley School Parent Teachers Association (Suckley School PTA)
Suckley School has a small but active group known as Suckley School Friends Association ( SSFA) which meets regularly and helps the school both practically and financially by fundraising. The Association organises a variety of events such as discos, school fayres, bingo evenings, non-school uniform days and so on, to raise funds for equipment and transport costs for school trips which enrich the children's learning experience. They work hard and their efforts are very much appreciated. Meetings are open to all parents who are
welcome to attend and offer their support, and are advertised by the blackboard at the front of school.

2023-2024 Fundraising by SSFA
The following events have taken place during the school year and have been widely supported by both the school and the wider community. The children have had fun during non school uniform days, discos,
attending the pantomime and summer fair. In 2023/24 we raised a total of £6052.40 by providing the following events:
September 2023 - Alfrick and Lulsely show - The friends committee members attended the show, volunteering to help serve teas and coffees. In return of our support, Alfrick and Lulsey show donated
£500 towards the Sensory Garden.
September 2023 - Suckley BFG - The friends committee provided the children’s entertainment for the afternoon, taking a variety of games for the children to play. £372.00 was raised.
October 2023 - Halloween Disco - The children had great fun at the Halloween Disco, they all loved dressing up in their costumes! The children had an opportunity to purchase sweets from the tuck shop. We
raised an incredible £243.72.
November 2023 - Bromyard Fireworks. This was another external event that the Friends attended. We had our own stall selling light up toys. The support from the community was fantastic! We raised £436.85
December 2023 - Christmas Bingo - We would like to thank all of the parents for the donations they sent in to make up hampers. The bingo hampers really were spectacular. Although this event was not well
attended, we still managed to raise £131.50.
December 2023 - Suckley Tractor Club kindly donated £100 to us after organising a local tractor run.
December 2023 - Xmas4Schools - The children took part in designing their own artwork that could be printed onto Christmas cards, mugs, tea towels and purchased as keepsakes or gifts. We raised £56 from
this event.
Feb 2024 - Valentines Disco - The children had fun dancing the afternoon away and enjoyed the added addition of hot dogs. We made a fantastic £255.80.
March 2024 - 2nd Hand Uniform Sale - 2nd hand uniform is available anytime throughout the school year. This year through sales alone we made £138.80, and also secured a £500 Grant from Malvern Hills trust
which has allowed us to purchase storage boxes, rails and tables for sales. We love accepting donations of uniform, but please can we ask that it is sent in a clean and saleable condition.
March 2024 - Sponsored Bounce - A fantastic event that was enjoyed by all children. We would like to thank Megabounce who provided the bouncy castle free of charge and for the parents who gave up their
time to count bounces, without your help it wouldn’t have been able to go ahead. Through sponsorship and gift aid we made an incredible £1502.26.
May 2024 - Break the rules day - The children were able to choose what rules the wished to break, for one day only. They had great fun bringing toys in, wearing trainers instead of school shoes and having funky hair doo’s. A great effort which raised £184.85.
May 2024 - Bromyard Party in the Park - Another external event we attended. We had our own stall running children’s games. It was great to see the local community getting invovled in raising money for our
wonderful school. We raised £210.95 at this event.
June 2024 - Ice cream Fridays - A weekly event that is run in the playground every Friday during the last half term before the Summer ends. A firm favourite for the children! A massive £334.00 was made
through these sales.
July 2024 - Summer Fair - The biggest event of the year. So much time and planning goes into this event. The children have so much fun exploring the new games on offer every year. Thankyou to all the
parents who take the time to help volunteer, without you events like this wouldn’t be able to go ahead. This year we made an incredible £1102.47
Rags2Riches - Rags To Riches - periodically we ask parents to support the school by donating any unwanted clothing. This is the collected by Rags to Riches and weighed and the school are lucky to receive a
monetary donation based on the weighted collection - this time our collection raised a combined total of £525.65.

2022 - 2023 Fundraising by SSPTA
The following events have taken place during the school year and have been widely supported by the school community. The children have had fun during non school uniform days, creating art work to be reprinted onto tea towels, mugs and cards to name but a few.....to date the following monies have been raised:-
Sept 2022 and January 2023 - Rags To Riches - periodically we ask parents to support the school by donating any unwanted clothing. This is the collected by Rags to Riches and weighed and the school are lucky to receive a monetary donation based on the weighted collection - this time our collection raised a combined total of £194.00.
Sept 2022 - Macmillan Cake Sale - We are very grateful for the parents support in providing yummy cakes for all of our school community to enjoy. The children helped to set up and run the stall and we raised a grand total of £133.60
Dec 2022 - Xmas4schools artwork - The children took part in designing their own "Christmas Scene" which could then be printed on various home items such as mugs, tea towels and cards for parents to purchase as Christmas Gifts and keepsakes. The PTA received a contribution of £79 for this event.
March 2023 - Easter Disco - The children had a great time at the Disco's throughout the evening and raised £180 towards the PTA funds.
April 2023 - Coronation Art - The children were asked to produce artwork in conjunction with xmas4schools, but this time for the King's Coronation. Parents were able to order items as keepsakes. The PTA received a donation of £44 from this event, which is fantastic!
