Phonics and Early Reading

At Suckley School we recognise the crucial link between consistent phonics teaching and early reading, writing and spelling success. 

 

We use Rising Stars Rocket Phonics as our systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) scheme. We use the complementary Rising Stars Reading Planet books as the foundation of our school reading scheme. Phonics is taught daily in EYFS and KS1.
