Happy, Aspirational and Ready for Life

Spring

As part of our whole school project, we have been reading the book 'In our Hands' by Lucy Farfort. We thought about colour mixing and painted a 'rainbow tree' picture together. For the 'leaves' we wrote about things we felt work better as a team. The children had some very thoughtful ideas.

This term Wrens have been considering what makes a good friend. We had lots of good ideas and have made a poster for our classroom to remind us all of what a good friend looks like.

As part of our topic this term we are thinking about flight and things that can fly. Nathan brought in his drone to show us how it can fly and how it can film from the sky. We were really lucky to have this experience and all enjoyed it.

During our PD sessions we are learning  basic hockey skills. The children are already becoming competent at holding the sticks and moving the ball to each other with control. We have been practicing how to stop the ball with the stick, and how to negotiate around cones.

We had a lovely time with Moo Music. We sang, moved in time to the music and joined in with the beat with musical instruments.

We were lucky to have a visit from Sam. He led a session of RugbyTots for us. We had a fantastic time despite the wind. The children listen well and tried very hard. Well done Wrens.

Lunar New Year. We learnt about how Lunar New Year is celebrated around the world and had to eat some Chinese food with chopsticks! Our fine motor skills are excellent as the children managed this task with control and enjoyed the foods on offer.
