Happy, Aspirational and Ready for Life

Whole School

Dogs Trust March 2022

We had a workshop based upon the theme of 'Safe Behaviour Around Dogs'. Using dogs as a focus, the workshop aimed to devleop compassionate attitudes and behaviours to all living things in a creative and imaginative way to ensure a memorable and positive learning experience.

Ukraine Appeal March 2022

We had a fantastic response to our Ukraine Appeal which was organised by the children. They created donation posters, helped to organise the donations and boxed them up ready for delivery.

Western Power Workshop January 2022

We welcomed Western Power to Suckley School. We learnt all about where our electricity comes from, how we can 'see' it all around us and how to keep ourselves safe.

Christmas Performances 2021

Remembrance Day November 2021

At 11 0' Clock we rang our old school bell in the corridor and held two minute silence to honour the people who had fought for our country. In the afternoon we created a selection of art and poetry to reflect our thoughts, images and descriptions of the war and 'Poppy Day'.

Shoe Box Appeal December 2021

Thank you to all of our school community for supporting our Shoe Box appeal this year which was organised by our Pupil Council. We filled 19 boxes in total, with further gifts left over. The children thought carefully about what to put into the boxes and researched the countries they were travelling to.

Operation Ouch! November 2021

On Friday 8th October we were extremely lucky to be chosen to host the Operation Ouch Team from CBBC here at Suckley School. They were super impressed with our Forest School and the work we do on Children's Mental Health in preparation for them to access the academic side of school.

Dr Chris worked with our Year 6 children in Forest School where they did leaf bashing, shelter building, mud painting, created a collage of Dr Xand using Autumn items and harvested the produce we planted in the Summer Term from our garden. Following this Dr Chris worked with our Year 5 children in the classroom decorating a Gratitude Jar and talking about how we can change our negative thoughts easily into positive thoughts.

The show is forecast to air in January 2022.

Harvest Festival Service October 2021

For our Harvest Service this year we gave thanks in Suckley Church. The children wrote a selection of beautiful poems which they read out to the rest of the school. We listened to the story 'Sealed with a Sandal'.

We received lots of food donations from our families which we gave to Malvern Food Bank.
