Spring Term

Balanceability  -March 2022

Wrens have had a series of bike riding sessions with Balanceability. Our instructor Hayley, helps us learn how to balance the balance bikes and then progress to riding pedal bikes without stabilisers! The childrens progress was outstanding, with the vast majority confidently, independently riding the pedal bikes by the final session. We are very proud of the resilience and determination the children demonstrated as they learnt this life skill.

Thinktank Trip -10th March 2022

We had a fabulous trip to the Thinktank. The children behaved beautifully and were fully engaged with the learning experiences on offer. The staff team were incredibly proud of the whole class. On return to school the children have been describing the most memorable parts of the trip through animated discussions. It is a joy to see them so engaged in their learning.  Well done Wrens.

One of our main focuses this term has been fine motor skills and getting Wrens  fingers strong enough to write. We do this via lots of fun activities within our provision. One of the tasks was painting outside on a large black sheet - but the paintbrushes had very odd long handles!

We have been focusing on cooking and considering different options for our 'Space Picnic' at the end of the term. Wrens have been using lots of their maths skills to weight and measure the ingredients and their literacy skills to record what we have been up to.

We have had a wonderful start to the new term. The children have been very busy exploring our newly improved outdoor learning area. It is so wonderful to see them all engaged in such imaginative play.
