April 2022.
We started the term with a whole school book week based on 'Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud' by Katie Hartnett. It is a lovely text, which allows the children to explore emotions and what it means to be a friend. We though about what makes us feel grumpy or sad, and what we can do to help ourselves resolve those feelings. Wrens created some lovely collage artwork and simple sentences to record the weeks learning.
Lower House Farm Trip 24.05.22
We were very lucky to visit Lower House Farm. Our hosts showed us around and we saw lots of different animals, including seeing the cows being milked. We all enjoyed a milkshake and walked back to school over the fields following a map. The children were fantastic and wrote some brilliant sentences on their return to school.
