We are delighted to welcome you to our small community school which is set in beautiful rural surroundings, close to the local village and church.
Our dedicated staff team are committed to providing a secure and happy school where all children are able to thrive and to achieve their very best. We have high expectations of ourselves and of the children.
We recognise that every child is an individual with the potential to succeed. With this in mind, we aim to create a warm, engaging learning environment to help our children to develop the confidence and positive attitude that will stay with them for life.
We are very proud of our broad and balanced curriculum. Emphasis is placed on offering a creative and inspiring curriculum which excites and enthuses our pupils. We have a superb outdoor environment including free flow opportunities for Reception pupils, a spacious playing area, an outdoor classroom and a pond area with a nature garden, all of which extend and enhance the high quality learning that goes on inside the school. We are also proud to be one of only eight schools in the country offering accredited Forest School Practice, and to have received validation for this.
We are also pleased to run the Thrive program, a way of assessing and supporting children’s emotional and social development so that we can provide personalised learning programs at the time when a child may need them most. We are also a trauma informed school.
