Autumn 2020

Welcome back Wrens!

We are so excited for the term to start. We have been very busy getting the classroom and our outside space ready for lots of fun learning and exploring.

We look forward to welcoming you all into our classroom very soon.

(02.09.20)

We have had a wonderful first few weeks settling into school life. The children have been exploring our school environment, both inside and outside. (08.09.20)
What a creative bunch! We have had a lovely time painting and getting a little messy - making some artwork for displays. (16.09.20)
We had a fantastic time at forest school this week. We made our own paint brushes from the natural materials we could find. Our paint was a lovely muddy mixture. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun! (23.09.20)

For Halloween we made Stacey Solomon Spider Biscuits and Pumpkin Oranges!! We had great fun making them and hopefully enjoyed eating them!!

We have been busy this week learning all about Rememberance Day and making some poppy inspired art work. (13.11.20)

As part of our Story Hunt Topic we have been doing all sorts of exciting learning. Check out our adventures on Tapestry!! We worked with a partner to design, make , label and describe our Gruffalo.

Letters and Sounds

We have now completed all of our Phase 2 phonemes and we have started on Phase 3 phonemes. Please make sure you practice saying the sounds, writing the sounds, having a go at the actions and blending and writing simple words.

We hope you are using your Home/school blending books and enjoying our Pocket Rockets linked to our daily phoneme.

Have a look at this to help you with Letter Formation.

Here are the Phase 2 Tricky words that the children are working on recognising by sight.

Diwali

We have been learning about Diwali . We made Diwali cards, rangoli patterns and tomorrow we are going to design and make a Diva.
