WHOLE SCHOOL TEXT - 'The River' by Tom Percival
We have been reading the beautiful book 'The River'. We have been using this to create fantastic art and written work for our whole school display board. In art we have bee considering making textural backgrounds with differing texture wallpapers and paint techniques. We have also been drawing detailed pictures of blue tits to add to the background. The children have worked very hard and produced wonderful individual art work.
ENGLISH - Oracy.
We have been learning about poetry and rhyme. We have been performing poems, using our voices to add expression and tone to help tell the story. The children worked in groups to act out our wagoll.
SCIENCE: Super scientists.
We have been looking at the discoveries of Sir Isaac Newton. This lesson we looked at how white light can be split through prisms into the colours of the rainbow.
