Week Nine (24.06.20)

Today we are revising the phoneme 'oi'.  Can you write the following ‘oi’ words?

 I have included some activities to complete so you can practise finding and using the sound.

Week Eight (17.06.20)

Today in phonics we are revising the ‘ar’ sound. Can you write the following ‘ar’ words?

 

Star

Car

Bark

Farm

 

Have a go at the activities below.

Week Seven (10.06.20)

 

Today we recap the ‘igh’ sound. Practise writing the sound and then have a go at writing the following words:

tight

night

sight

bright

 

Use the worksheet attached to cut and stick the words to make the knight's shield.

Week Six (03.06.20)

I know you will have already shown off your amazing phonics as part of your literacy work today, but today we also want you to continue to practice the ‘sh’ sound.  Have a go at one or both activities below.

 

 

 

 

Week Five (20.05.20)

We continue to look back at lots of the sounds we have covered in phase 3. We are looking at oo, ar, or, ur, ow, oi and er today!

 

Look at the PowerPoint below and have a go at the labelling activity.

Week Four (13.05.20)

Today in phonics we are continuing to revise the sounds j, v, w and x.

 

There is a fun reading game to try too.

Week Three (06.05.20)

Today we are recaping some consonant digraphs - sh, ch, th and ng.

 

I know you can do these phonemes!

 

Look at the powerpoint and then complete the attached worksheet.

Have a go at today’s PowerPoint activities.

I have also added a work sheet if you want some grapheme practice.

Week One (22.04.20)

Please continue to revise your phonics sounds from phase 3. Use the resources from phonics on Monday and Tuesday this week.

 

Use your sound cards (from Monday) to play a game of snap or memory.

 

Teach your grown up how to say the sounds properly – use ‘my turn, your turn’ to help them!
