Despite restrictions on gatherings this year, we safely collected to say farewell to this lovely group of children. • The Romans have invaded Suckley School -2020!

Tue 11 Feb 2020 Class Woodpeckers

The Romans have invaded Suckley School -2020!

The Woodpecker’s class at Suckley School had an exciting delivery to start the New Year.  A box of interesting artefacts from hundreds of years ago appeared in the classroom for us to investigate.  We really can’t wait to find out more.  We also have a VIP visitor arriving next week, a real Roman Warrior sent from 27 BC to teach us all about the mighty Roman Empire.  We will be asking him questions to extend our learning and have the chance to explore relics left over from the Roman invasion of Britain. We are buzzing with excitement to find out all the foul facts about the rotten Romans- with all the gore!

To remember those who were evacuated during WW2 and those who lost their lives the Royal British Legion held a parade through the town and a service in St Peters Church. Eagles were lucky to join the event and to hear stories of this time from Vanessa Redgrave CBE, and Lord Alfred Dubs - what an experience.
