Our Vision

'Happy, aspirational and ready for life'

Our vision for the children at Suckley School:

Over the next three years we aim for:

  • all pupils to leave our school as well rounded individuals, having achieved their best and ready for the next stage of their education
  • our current Ofsted Outstanding category to be maintained
  • the school to maintain full capacity, serving it’s community and surrounds

  • the school building andinfrastructure to continue to serve the needs of the curriculum, its learners

  • the school to be part of a collaboration of schools, or a Multi Academy Trust

Our aims:

Staff, parents, governors and the wider community will work together closely; putting the school at the heart of the community that it serves

  • To work together to ensure that school is a safe, secure, friendly and purposeful community where children are valued, encouraged, challenged and supported to do their best and learn.

  • To recognise and meet children’s individual needs, unique gifts, talents and interests

  • For children to have a high level of confidence and competence when applying a range of key skills in English and Maths.

  • For children to then be able to use and apply these skills in a range of different contexts.

  • To provide opportunities for challenge, creativity and collaboration, alongside encouraging a natural curiosity within the curriculum.

  • For the curriculum to be exciting and enriched with purposeful contexts for learning.

  • For our curriculum to enable the appropriate subject coverage, whilst achieving the right balance of knowledge and skills (Suckley skills)

  • For our curriculum to embrace outdoor learning sessions, including Forest School, to encourage a sense of wonder and appreciation

  • To support children to develop a strong understanding of local, national and wider world cultures, with respect for themselves and others

Our agreed Values

Honesty, Respect, Determination, Thankfulness, Responsibility and Forgiveness
